The deep ruby-colored 1990 offers up abundant aromas of sweet new oak, ripe berry fruit, and floral scents. In the mouth, this stylish, medium-weight, beautifully proportioned wine has excellent concentration, decent acidity, moderate tannins, and a considerable sense of elegance and richness. It is the finest La Gaffeliere since the 1970 and 1947. Anticipated maturity: Now-2008.
