Note di degustazione
Interestingly, the 2003 Clos Saint-Martin displays a stronger, richer, more vibrant character than its sibling, the 2003 Les Grandes Murailles. From a more mineral-laced terroir, the Clos Saint-Martin possesses a healthy dark ruby/plum color that is lightening throughout. However, the wine tastes fresh with lots of black cherry, crushed chalk and spice notes offered in a medium-bodied, refreshing, lively style. It should drink well for 5-7 more years.

Practically no nose. Looks rather evolved. Sweet start then a very severe finish (too much press wine?). (JR)
Aromas of blackberry, meat and flowers. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a chewy finish. Best after 2009. 500 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2006
