Note di degustazione
Silky smooth tannins and the intense distilled cassis of a great Australian Cabernet, coupled with juicy pomegranate, mandarin peel, cigar box, liqourice, crayon, eucalyptus. Savoury and salivating. Barossa dominant fruit for sourcing. Last tasted in Singapore around two years ago. I loved it then, and it's tasting even better now, one point upscore. 100% new American oak for ageing, Peter Gago chief winemaker.

Tasted duing one of the opening weekend of the wine-focused 67 Pall Mall club in Singapore, we were due to tate the 2017 until a last minute generous replacement from the estate swapped it out for an older vintage. So happy they did, as this was one of the wines of the weekend - I can still taste its briliance all these months later, with its brambled blackcurrant puree, tobacco, liqourice, spiced chocolate and mandarin notes. 100% new American oak.
Astonishing purity of cassis here, with loads of chalky tannic grip too. Pillowy palate, envelops the tongue and tucks it in for comfort. The attention to detail is immaculate here, and it has plenty more complexity to come. (RH)
Very dark. Brooding, savoury nose. Thick and sweet – less fresh than the 2008. Intense. Just a little too sugary for perfection. (JR)
