Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2024-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2024

Pouring a jeweled orange/pink color, the NV Champagne Brut Rosé is exuberant and fruity on the nose, with aromas of dark cherries, tangerine, crushed flowers, wet stone, and peach purée. The palate is similarly assertive, with its dark fruited profile shining through, and it has a pillowy mousse, a soft, rounded texture, and a warming finish. It would be wonderfully suited to pair with hard cheese and salumi. Drink over the coming 6-8 years.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2023-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2023

A rich salmon color with an orange tinge, the NV Champagne Rosé is 55% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier, and the rest Chardonnay. With this release, Armand de Brignac made a change to the blend, with 50% from 2018, 25% each from 2017 and 2012, and the addition of 15% Pinot Noir still wine. Opening in the glass, it’s floral in its aromatics, with a lifted perfume of wild strawberry, wet stone, and fresh flowers. It gains in intensity on the palate, with a darker profile noted by black cherry liqueur, a pillowy mousse, a long finish, and a well-balanced structure. Drink 2023-2033.

The Armand de Brignac NV Brut Rosé is an intense salmon colored blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay sourced in the Montage de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Valée de la Marne and comprises the vintages of 2009, 2010 and 2012. The bouquet is intensely fruity yet clear, fine and well-defined. Full-bodied, round, vinous and elegant on the palate, this cuvée reveals a grippy mineral freshness and lingering structure. Persistent finish. Powerful yet pure. The cooler the better. Tasted from magnum and lot L107D8 in April 2018. The 750-milliliter bottle sells for $400.

Punteggio 16/20 · Da bere 2017-2019, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2017

50% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier. 2009, 2010, 2012. Dosage 8.5 g/l. Mid rose. They like dark rosé. He prefers it to light salmon – unlike his father – to distinguish it from the Brut. Not much nose. Quite rich, candied rose-petal aromas and less pronounced acidity than the Brut. A little sudden finish. (JR)
