Note di degustazione
Duget-Py bottles this parcel separately because, he says, it tastes different. Almost claret like rigour in the structure. These vines are very close to Charmes but much tighter, more compact, tight-knit and firm. The tannins seem reminiscent of Cabernet rather than Pinot. Mainly whole grapes rather than destemmed. (JR)

A separate 75-case lot demonstrating the difference that a few hundred yards and in this case rockier, warmer soil can make to flavor, Dugat’s 2005 Mazoyeres-Chambertin exudes aromas and flavors of chocolate, cinnamon, coconut, roasted meats and lightly cooked black cherry and black raspberry. Terrifically palate-staining and gripping but significantly less refined than the already irresistible Charmes, this will need checking on in a decade. It should be atwenty-year wine.
