Very dark crimson. Very sweet and succulent. Just enough acidity. Not too drying on the finish. Nicely judged – better than some of the grands crus. (JR)

A blend of 49% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, cropped at 46hl/ha, this has a fine plum-scented bouquet with just a hint of violets. Nice lift, not complex but an agreeable sense of purity. A soft entry on the medium-bodied palate, quite plush for a Pessac-Leognan with very rounded supple Merlot with a tingling “umami” style finish with just a hint of Schezhuan pepper. Fine. Tasted April 2010.
