Good deep red. Complex aromas of black raspberry, mocha, cocoa, minerals and flowers. Rich and lush on entry, then sappy and juicy in the middle, with terrific mineral and floral lift. Finishes scented and very long, with thoroughly buffered tannins. These wines are about much more than primary fruit, and none more so than this soil-driven RSV.

Medium red-ruby. Wild blackberry, cocoa powder, mocha, coffee and minerals on the nose. Dense and sweet but light on its feet, with highly aromatic flavors of dark berries, violet and minerals. This is like a more concentrated version of the Beaux-Monts. Finishes very long and suave, with sweet, fine-grained tannins and a tactile impression of extract. Meunier noted that this wine was spicy and peppery at the beginning and has gained in weight and texture in barrel.
