Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Reticent but pure aromas of fresh raspberry and licorice. Sappy and tightly coiled, with a distinctly cool, primary character to the flavors of black cherry, dark raspberry, flowers and pungent minerals. The wine's energy and penetrating quality currently hide its substantial volume. Silky, weightless wine with lovely finesse. This almost tastes like another vintage-except for the peppery nuance on the back, which will morph into complex herbal and underbrush notes as the wine develops in bottle. I'd give this one at least five or six years of additional aging.

(the vines here, originally planted in 1922, average 60 years of age when you count the repiquage [the replacement of old vines that have failed] notes Meunier) Good full red. Perfumed, superripe aromas of black raspberry and sweet oak. Sweet, creamy and pure but rather youthfully taut; this very strong and seamless grand cru needs more elevage to absorb its oak. Finishes with dusty tannins.
