Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2016-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016

Good medium red. Very sexy aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, mocha, underbrush and truffle. Lush and smooth in the mouth, but also with lovely tension and aromatic intensity to the flavors of strawberry, mocha and molasses. Dry and classic, and long and perfumed on the finish. This was aged in 100% new oak but the wood element has mostly been absorbed. Still plenty of tannins to support further aging, but Alain Meunier reminded me that he doesn't like really old Burgundies (i.e., after 15 years).

Dee p red. Sappy aromas of dark berries, minerals, exotic spices and coffee. Large-scaled, voluptuous and lush but with the cool spine of the year giving definition to the cherry, dark raspberry and mineral flavors. Finishes very long, brisk and minerally. I'd lay this down for a good six to eight years.

This displays a completely different aromatic profile with subtle Vosne spice and distinct floral notes followed by intense, pure, precise and beautifully focused flavors that culminate in a remarkably long, extremely fresh finish. This offers class to burn with simply stunning elegance and precise, beautifully nuanced and outstanding length. In short, this is clearly the best wine in the cellar today.

Saturated red-ruby. Reticent but highly complex nose combines sweet black raspberry, minerals, smoke, earth and coffee. Large-scaled, sweet, concentrated and rich, with a very tight grain to its strong fruit. Finishes with ripe tannins and lovely aromatic persistence.
