Note di degustazione
A cool vintage, particularly over August, with a sunny September that helped grapes reach a gentle balance. Grilled sandalwood, toasted oak notes alongside raspberry puree, gentle tannins that are fully integrated into the structure. It's softly spoken but has a real charm to it, with raspberry leaf and crushed roses aromatics. Eric Boissenot consultant, harvest September 25 to October 18. Gerard Bouquinet technical director. 60% new oak.

Very light nose. Decent balance on the palate. Chewy finish. Could only be Bordeaux with this dry finish. Appetising but unexciting. (JR)
Fresh aromas of red fruit but chalky tannins are a bit dry, especially on the finish. (JH)
Deep crimson. Extremely light nose. Sweet, simple palate and very inky and drying on the finish. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

A stone’s throw from Saint-Julien, Ch. de Camensac was long underperforming, but – under the ownership of the Merlaut-Villars family – was totally restructured, and quality transformed.
