Note di degustazione
The 2011 Pouilly Fuissé Vieilles Vignes has closed down a little since I last tasted it, but there are attractive mineral scents, touches of grilled walnut and undergrowth. The palate is very well-balanced with a slight viscosity on the entry. The acidity is nicely judged, a powerful Vieilles Vignes with a strident spicy finish. A bit of a "beast" since 12 months ago, but enormous potential is already evident.

Hazelnut nose. Quite sleek start and then introvert fruit. I can imagine you should wait for this. (JR)
Here too there is ample wood influence with a beautifully layered nose of dried yellow orchard fruit, orange peel and floral nuances. There is superb concentration and richness to the big, powerful and broad-shouldered flavors that possess an explosively long, toasty and precise finish. This is presently carrying too much wood for my preferences but the sheer length of this is stunning. Tasted: Oct 15, 2013. Drink: 2017+
