This would have been made by the old Croft team before it was acquired by The Fladgate Partnership. Mid shaded blackish garnet. A little muddy on the nose. And notably dry and shortish on the palate. Underpowered. (JR)

Still a deep ruby-garnet in colour. Prunes and dried figs mix with cinnamon and wood spice on the nose. The palate is warming and full, with chalky but integrating tannins coated in balancing sugar and caramelised dark fruit. Savoury notes are starting to show, particularly towards the finish, but this port still relies more on its primary elements. (TP)
Dark, concentrated crimson. Light dried prunes and smudgy integration on the nose. Very sweet start but pretty spirity on the finish. Not quite enough holding it all together in the middle. Hot finish with lots of drying tannins. (JR)
Glowing blackish purple. Appetising topnote – good raciness. Big and bold and almost seamless. So perfumed it almost reminded me of a top quality German Riesling in aroma. Then it is very dry and neat on the finish with good concentration. Very dramatic. Round and perfumed. Good structure. (JR)
