A very faint nose with hints of violets. This is very fine (too fine perhaps) and with a bit of a gap in the middle. Well upholstered but perhaps just a bit weak.

Dark crimson. Spicy nose – even a hint of cinnamon! Light and angular. Pleasant enough but not top drawer. A bit astringent on the end. (JR)
Dark fruit with a slight sourness like elderberry. Dark and savoury and almost earthy on the palate. Tannins keeping a tight grip on the fruit. Very hard work and bitter. (JH)
