Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2004-2015, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2011

Mid ruby. Very fragrant and high toned. Lightweight and much gentler tannins than most 1995 Margaux. But actually this makes for an attractive drink. Not an attention grabber but very well balanced – although some may find the acidity just a tad pronounced. (JR)

Punteggio 15.5/20 · Da bere 2005-2013, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2005

Hint of leafiness on the nose, which makes it all the more refreshing. Very racy and thoroughbred. Rather Cabernet Franc-like. More honest and true than most. Not overdone. There is fruit in the middle there. Quite beefy. But inky too. (JR)

Punteggio 86/100 · Da bere 2003-2015, Robert Parker, Feb 1998

A chocolatey, berry-scented nose with weedy cassis, licorice, and earth aromas is followed by a medium-bodied wine with fine concentration. Although monolithic, the 1995 is well-made, mouthfilling, and moderately tannic. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2015. Readers should be aware that this property was recently sold by Madame Gasqueton (the proprietor of Calon-Segur) to a Dutchman named Eric Jelgersma, also the new proprietor of Chateau Giscours.
