I only tasted this wine once. It revealed a deep, ruby/purple color, more new oak than Cantemerle generally possesses, admirable quantities of rich cassis fruit backing up considerable tannin and structure, and an inner-core of sweetness and ripeness. This is an elegant, slightly austere 1993 for drinking between 2000-2010.
