Note di degustazione
Chateau Senejac’s regular bottling did not perform well enough to be included in this report, but that was not the case with their luxury cuvee, the 2001 Karolus. Made from a 7.5-acre parcel planted on a gravelly knoll, it is a blend of 50% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 17% Cabernet Franc. Its deep ruby color is accompanied by elegant aromas of black currants, cedar, dried herbs, and earth. Medium-bodied, with excellent purity as well as a spicy finish, it will drink well for 7-8 years.
