Pale-medium red. Rather vague aromas of black cherry and menthol. Supple and textured, with hints of framboise and violet. Has sweetness of fruit, but today the wine's acids and slightly dry tannins are noticeable.

Medium to dark ruby-colored, the 2001 Vosne-Romanee sports a sweet red cherry-scented nose. Medium-bodied, ripe, and satin-textured, it reveals excellent depth to its jammy black cherry-filled personality. Drink this ripe, well-structured wine over the next 6 years. Moderately saturated medium red. Warm aromas of cassis, black plum, spices and nuts. Soft but with a mineral tang and sound acidity. A fruity, fresh wine with moderate depth.
