Note di degustazione
The 1966 Suduiraut is probably unfairly overshadowed by the 1967, but they are well worth looking out for. There is a tang of swimming pool/algae on the nose that actually might deceive you into thinking of older Sauternes, but it is actually attractive and marries well with the tangy Seville orange marmalade and orange pith aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, clean and focused with a welcome tang of stem ginger towards the vibrant finish. It is not an extrovert or preening Suduiraut and it “knows its place”. 80gm/L residual sugar, 14.5% alcohol.
