The 2002 Brut Grand Cru is a fat, explosive wine that saturates the palate with rich, textured fruit, spices, cloves and oak. This voluminous extroverted wine shows exceptional length on the palate. Stylistically, I find it a bit heavy, but there is no denying the quality of what is in the glass. This is a decidedly full-throttle wine that will drink best with food. Disgorged February, 2010.
