Note di degustazione
The 2008 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée is also beginning to drink brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with notes of pear, blanched almonds, beeswax and dried white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's deep and structured, with prodigious levels of chalky dry extract and a long, intensely saline finish. This is tauter and more electric than the fuller, more enveloping Ursules of the same vintage—as one would expect—and if anything, it still comes across as a touch young.

One of the standouts in this tasting, the 2008 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée dazzles with its layers of nuance and kaleidoscopic complexity. Vibrant and explosive in the glass, the 2008 is simply magnificent. White flowers, orchard fruit, mint and crushed rocks all pulse from a Champagne endowed with crystalline precision and tension. The 2008 is built on volume, freshness and energy. Even after all these years, it is truly spectacular.
Greenish tinge. Quite meat-and-two-vegy and distinctive on the nose. A little spindly in terms of impact but certainly worth making and tasting as a variation on the usual recipe. (JR)
