The 2012 Reynon is gorgeous. Dark, fleshy and supple, the 2012 offers superb depth throughout and fabulous overall balance. Plum, black cherry, smoke, menthol and licorice are some of the notes that flesh out on the round, inviting finish. This is a real overachiever from proprietor Denis Dubordieu and one the very finest values readers will find in Bordeaux.

From famous Bordeaux professor of oenology Denis Dubourdieu, this Côtes de Bordeaux exhibits an attractive dense ruby/purple color, sweet black cherry and cassis fruit, licorice and earth. Medium-bodied, supple and ideal for drinking the next 5-6 years, this is an exceptional value and a serious wine.
Awful spring and beautiful summer; better way round than 2011. Had to pick fast. Impressive dark purple. A little brutal and very youthful but with masses of character and confidence. Solid. (JR)
Deep dark cherry. Restrained sweet dark cherry fruit aroma. Pretty hard work on the palate though the tannins are relatively soft. Herbaceous and a touch bitter on the finish. (JH)
