65% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Semillon. Citrus but also some tropical fruit on the nose. This is very ripe and overtly creamy in texture with a generous portion of new oak. Good weight and concentration especially at this level and well-made in a bold style. FINE+RARE

Tasted blind at the Southwold 2012 tasting. The 2012 De Fieuzal Blanc has a withdrawn, lanolin-scented bouquet that is nicely defined, some attractive Sémillon here, but it just requires more intensity and chutzpah. The palate is well balanced with a soft peach skin and fresh pear opening, the acidity a little low and consequently it feels a little smudged towards the phenolic finish. Tasted January 2016.
This white really shows Fieuzal as it used to be with a lemon, mineral and apple character. Full body, with fresh acidity and a clean finish. Bright and beautiful. Delicious already. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

Named after the Fieuzal family who owned this estate until 1851, today Ch. de Fieuzal is owned by the Quinns. Since their arrival in 2001, the Irish family has restored the property and built its reputation for quality.
