Note di degustazione
Melted, smoked tannins, high spice and a touch of burnt caramel. This has freshness and poise, with sweet raspberry and red cherry notes, alongside rosemary, silky tannins and dried herbs. You feel the hotter conditions of the vintage, and it is in its full drinking window, not one of the vintages that I would hold on to for too much longer. 50% new oak for ageing, Jean-Pierre Hugon estate manager.

This dark plum/garnet-tinged 2003 offers attractive aromas of plums, sweet currants, black cherries, herbs, and earth. Medium-bodied, charming, and better from bottle than it was from cask, it should be consumed over the next decade.
Very dark crimson. Simple and sweet, but undistinguished. A bit of a blob. Odd acidity. Low tannins. (JR)
Deep crimson. Sweet, odd vanilla notes plus a certain greenness. Some lift on the nose. But lacks lift off on the palate. Too furry. There is not enough definition and refreshment to this wine. Bit heavy and sweet. Almost Napa Valley style... (JR)
