Punteggio 14/20 · Da bere 2000-2007, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2011

Deep crimson. Hint of brett and a real lack of fresh fruit – though no shortage of rustic tannins. Hard work and no refreshment factor. (JR)

Punteggio 87/100 · Da bere 2003-2018, Robert Parker, Jan 2003

This wine has completely shut down after being in bottle for several years. It still has an impressively saturated ruby/purple color and a nose of sweet berry fruit intermixed with licorice, tapenade, mineral, and herbs. The wine is deep, medium-bodied, with excellent purity and some relatively elevated and rustic tannin in the finish which may not become fully integrated. In any event, this wine needs extended cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2018. Last tasted, 3/02.

Impressive dark color. Lots of ripe fruit and black licorice character, with a mineral undertone. Full-bodied, tight and silky. Give this time.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 2007
