Note di degustazione
Darker, blacker colour than the 1996. Light nose. Very airy-fairy Margaux on the nose. Denser on the palate than the 1996 but a bit savage and aggressive in terms of both flavour and texture. Pretty robust aggressive tannins. I would wait a while for this. (JR)

Full, burly, big. Confident, distinctive, good at expressing bordeaux with some opulence. Good sheen and very fine tannins. Crisp finish. Good balance. (JR)
This estate's second wine, the 1995 Pavillon du Chateau Margaux, may turn out to be one of the most delicious examples the property has made. The wine is forward, sexy, round, and generous, with gobs of black fruit and a subtle dosage of new oak. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
