Medium red. Brooding aromas of dark fruits, mint and menthol. Rich and deep on the palate, with spicy red fruit flavors lifted by a note of orange peel. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and juicy persistence.

Medium red. Deep aromas of redcurrant, plum, licorice and flowers. At once supple and lively on the palate, showing a delicate grain and lovely floral lift to its red fruit flavors. The persistent, lightly saline finish leaves a light impression. This energetic wine is already long on personality.
Outstanding! Relatively strong wood influence fights somewhat with the otherwise expressive nose that is comprised of spice, earth, menthol and cassis aromas. There is fine intensity to the attractively, even seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess focused power and punch on the balanced and impressively persistent finish. This should offer up to a decade of development potential. 90-92

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
