Looks really quite dark crimson. Showing well. Fully integrated nose and lovely sweet palate with all the tannins well in retreat. Quite an eye opener! Fresh and clean. GV (JR)

The back label, unusually, tells us this is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Very deep crimson indeed. Sleek, sweet and polished. Very well managed tannins, even if a slight lack of pzazz and even fruit on the mid palate. Cleverly made, however, to appeal in terms of texture and (mid) weight. Very slight rusty nails on the end but well done. (JR)
I have liked Tour de By, a very reliable Cru Bourgeois, for over thirty years. The 2011, a final blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, is a soft, easygoing, bistro-styled, character-filled red that should drink well for 2-3 years.
