Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2015-2022, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Dec 2015

Bright yellow with gold highlights. Vibrant aromas of stone fruits, truffle and hazelnut; it's hard to believe that this was not made in oak. Superconcentrated, tactile and thick, with soft citrus fruit and truffle flavors communicating an impression of sucrosité but nicely leavened by firm acidity. This classic, rather Corton-Charlemagne-like marl wine really spreads out to saturate the palate. Finishes with about 4.5 grams per liter of residual sugar after a 16-month fermentation. The Thévenets may release some of this next summer.

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2011-2017, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2013

Look at that vintage! Smells like roasted caramelised hazelnuts and then there is quite enough freshness. I'd choose to serve this as a treat to non wine lovers who I think would be knocked out by it. So opulent but not slack. Nervy in fact with some lime streak. GV (JR)
