Light red. A bit light in every respect. Very dry finish, but more promising than it seemed initially when the greenness of its tannins resulted in a score of 14.5. This has certainly put on flesh. (JR)

Very deep crimson. Even a hint of overripeness on this nose. Very strict and dry. No concessions made to pleasure. Quite reasonable level of ripeness on the front palate but then green tannins insist on the finish. Too ungenerous. (JR)
I was told that the chateau's merlot from old vines was picked very late and very ripe.
Informazioni sul produttore

Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
