2003 La Bienfaisance

The winemaking consultant for this 30-year-old, 23-acre vineyard is Stephane Derenoncourt. A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a big, rich perfume of vanilla, chocolate, black cherries, plums, figs, and crushed rocks. On the palate, it reveals black fruits, medium to full body, a modern style, soft tannin, and low acidity. It should drink well for 10-12 years, possibly longer.
