Second wine of Nénin. Mid crimson. Very sweet, quite juicy nose. Round and gouleyant – much more relaxed and less oaky than many Pomerols although not especially concentrated. Has this been especially fined? Certainly very round even if for relatively early drinking. I suppose not many Pomerols have second wines and therefore are trying awfully hard with their grands vins. A real charmer, until the sandpaper tannins on the very end. (JR)
