Moderately developed bricky garnet. Orangey sweetness with some undergrowth on the nose, then more savoury and dry, all round very moderate on the palate, perhaps a bit dry on the finish. (JH)

Tasted several times, the 2004 is a lean, herbal, dried out, diluted effort that lacks concentration and texture. Hopefully, the bottled cuvee will be superior to the barrel samples tasted.
Dark red. Raspberry and dark chocolate aromas. Sweet, lush and broad, with moderately intense flavors of black raspberry and game. Finishes with smooth tannins and good length. A promising vintage for this chateau.
Pale rim. Very frank nose leaps out of the glass. Rather malty nose that you would love or loathe. Slight lack of acidity and lift makes this too dull a boy for a high score from me. Shame. Just a bit dead. (JR)
