Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 Château Gazin has a delightful bouquet with small dark cherries, blueberry and iodine aromas, completely different to the 2006 Nénin, much more vigorous and cohesive. This is a bouquet with a sense of purpose. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannin, respectable depth and complexity towards the finish with delicate, slightly leafy, truffle-tinged red fruit. This seems to be at its peak now and comes highly recommended. Tasted January 2016.

Tasted blind. Blackish ruby. Mildly exotic, flattering nose with nothing out of place. Very attractive and fleshy. Lots of pleasure. Quite long. (JR)
Blackish crimson. Good lift. Quite moderate and juicy. Nice appetising, relatively early-drinking stuff. Good balance and nothing forced. (JR)
