2023 Domaine Weinbach Pinot Noir 'S - La Colline du Chateau'

The 2023 Pinot Noir La Colline du Château comes from the Schlossberg Grand Cru. There were up to 40% whole bunches in the ferments and the wine was aged for 18 months in oak. A slight, supple note of vanilla lends a creamy, smooth aspect to the red cherry. Freshness joins in on the palate, where dense, fine, almost velvety tannins coat the mouth and speak of ripeness. Slightly smoky fruit lingers on this rich, yet contoured Pinot that shows the warmth of 2023 and the beautiful structure of the granite. (Bone-dry)
