The 2023 Beaune Premier Cru is more successful than the other Kosta Browne Burgundies, benefiting from a clearer sense of place, more favorable oak integration and more delineation of flavors. Stepping softly with its richly fruited personality, the 2023 delivers layers of red berries, white pepper and a slightly animalistic undercurrent that lends sophistication to the salivating, gently salty finish. Fine.
