1986 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru

The Grands Echezeaux, usually a blockbuster here (ah, the 1985, 1983, and 1980 were something special ... !), has to take a back seat to the Clos Vougeot and Echezeaux in 1986. Perhaps it was going through a dumb stage, but it was quite tannic, closed, and hard to evaluate when I tasted it.
