2010 Clos Cantenac

From the Ch de Sours team. Deep crimson and nicely fresh with lovely honest, untarted up Merlot fruit well matched with two-thirds new oak. Good racy stuff with some real elegance though it will never be a match for the souped up, super sweet and toasty St-Émilions.  Attractive and fresh, though very far from the most ambitious St-Émilion.  Neat and with good medium persistence.
