Note di degustazione
The 2004 La Lagune has a well-defined bouquet, something that I think was missing throughout the wines up until this date. Blackberry, briary, touches of rose petal and then later, hints of Lapsong Souchang and sous-bois all contribute to a very satisfying array of aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a mixture of red and black fruit, tobacco and black pepper. It is conservative and remains in the classic Bordeaux oeuvre however I discern a little more clarity sewn into this wine. Tasted at the La Lagune vertical at the château.

Balsamic and interest on the nose. Real raciness. Lots of acidity but great refreshment. Super racy. (JR)
Smoky rich on the nose – definitely above average! Lively and well balanced without forcing. Well done! (JR)
