The 2023 Chardonnay Estate is wonderfully expressive! It has inviting aromas of poached pears, quince, vanilla, beeswax and hazelnut. The medium-bodied palate features pure, mineral-laced flavors and a seamless, silky texture. It’s balanced by vibrant acidity and has a very long, elegant finish.

A youthful yellow/golden color, the 2023 Chardonnay Rochioli Estate is made by Tom Rochioli and was raised in stainless steel without oak. The nose opens to ripe and spiced notes of crushed stones, flinty earth, honeycomb, yellow apples, flowers, and orange blossoms. It’s ripe and full-bodied, though it stays refreshing. Despite seeing only stainless steel, it really feels like there’s a bit of oak spice. Drink 2025-2032.
The 2023 Chardonnay Estate is a gorgeous entry-level wine in this range. Pear, spice, tangerine peel and light tropical accents all grace this understated offering from Tom Rochioli. This 2023 is a fine edition of the Estate Chardonnay. Most of this fruit is Hanzell clone.
