Note di degustazione
The vintage's stern nature shows through clearly in the 2005 Gigondas. It's bricking in hue, yet it boasts attractive notes of roasted meat and dried fruit. Still firm, its drying tannins on the finish are destined to never resolve. Drink up.

Dark ruby. Spicy raspberry and dark cherry aromas with a dusty herb overtone. Chewy, deep cassis and blackberry flavors are firmed by youthful tannins, which give the finish power and grip. Leaves sweet, liqueur-like fruit in its wake. More brooding than last year's showing, but no less impressively concentrated or sweet. This is ideal for the cellar.
CS Sweet and gentle though not especially edgy – more of an agreeable old woollen blanket than an electric shock. Fine balance – a little bit earthy. Ready surprisingly early. Masses of tannin on the finish. Very solid and very slightly rustic. For traditionalists. (JR)
Bright red. Very ripe, powerful aromas of cherry and blackcurrant. Deep, weighty and sweet, with a supple texture and vivid, fruit-driven flavors of raspberry, cherry and cassis. The lush, suave finish features silky tannins and excellent length.
