The 2020 Sparkling Chardonnay Alder Springs Vineyard is rich, layered and immediately appealing. Broad and nutty on entry, it delivers toasted hazelnut, brioche and pronounced yeasty tones over a core of ripe, peach-driven fruit. The modest dosage of 3 grams per liter is expertly judged. The 2020 is a particularly forward, approachable wine off this site.

Grapes for the 2020 Sparkling Chardonnay Alder Springs Vineyard were picked in mid-August, and the wine was disgorged in May of 2024. It has savory aromas of bruised apples, roasted almonds and toasted meringue complemented by touches of citrus peel. The palate features gently honeyed, nutty flavors and creamy mousse. It’s balanced by bright acidity and has a long, savory finish.
