Another monster of a wine, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Phelan Ranch Vineyard Jefe has an essence of Cabernet Sauvignon character in its cassis, blackberry, liquid mineral, graphite, and leather-driven aromatics. This full-bodied, massive, concentrated, inky 2023 has tons of tannins, a dense mid-palate, and 30+ years of overall longevity. This cuvée comes from the Jefe block of Phelan Ranch Vineyard, which is located high up above Lake Hennessey, on the eastern edge of the Valley.
