2018 Saint-Peray Les Maisons de Victor

Green-tinged straw-yellow. Powerful white peach, Anjou pear, honey and floral scents are enlivened by a hint of chalky minerality. Broad and seamless on entry and then more taut in the midpalate, offering fresh orchard and pit fruit flavors that take on a spicy aspect with air. Rich yet lively as well, finishing very long and smooth, with lingering honeysuckle and candied orange zest flourishes. Aged in oak barrels, 20% of them new.
