Note di degustazione
According to Loïc Dugat, they are the oldest family holders of this vineyard, of which they have 0.47 ha, vines over 70 years old and certified organic. At the highest point of the appellation. Some of their vines almost touch Chambertin. 25% new oak. Cask sample. Mid crimson. Refined dark fruit, mostly cherry, elegant and fresh and a real lightness of touch. Lightly peppery, with a herbal but not green fragrance (75% whole bunch). This has intensity without weight. A classic wine with depth and length. A ‘serene’ wine. A light note of spice on the finish. Needs time even though it is already harmonious. Tannins are firm but very very fine and enhance the lovely freshness. Extremely long. (JH)

The 2023 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a beautiful wine in the making, bursting from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries mingled with orange zest, petals and exotic spices that lend unusual aromatic range to a cuvée that's often defined by purity of fruit. Medium to full-bodied, suave and enveloping, with a succulent core of fruit and sweet structuring tannins, it concludes with a long, fragrant finish.
