Note di degustazione
The Mullineux 2024 Swartland Granite Chenin Blanc is taut, energetic and mineral-driven, with notes of green apple, pear skin and crushed stone carried by striking vertical freshness. Chenin Blanc shows extreme precision here, with deep-rooted vines in sandy granite soils promoting tension and clarity. The Paardeberg’s weathered granite and cooling Atlantic breezes help preserve the wine’s linear structure and vibrant lift.

The 2024 Chenin Blanc Granite comes from the decomposed granite soils in the Eikelaan Vineyard and spends 11 months in 225-litre used French oak. This has plenty of energy and focus on the nose, touches of pressed yellow flowers infuse the white fruit, a hint of stem ginger in the background. The palate is very well balanced with a smooth and slightly viscous texture, a fine bead of acidity, immense purity of fruit with an elegant, almost understated finish. Superb.
