2024 Trust Your Gut Chenin Blanc

The 2024 Trust Your Gut is pure Chenin Blanc from Piekenhierskloof (30%), which is a new addition, also Swartland (40%) and Polkadraai (30%), naturally fermented and aged in third-fill French oak. This has an intense nose that translates the grape variety with style: lemon curd, lanolin, a slight sea spray/marine element. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, just a touch of sour lemon mixed with apricot and grapefruit. Wonderful salinity comes through on the finish. Superb.
