The 2019 Savagnin Côtes du Jura En Chalasse matches the high quality achieved in the 2020 vintage. Bottled just three weeks prior to my visit, the 2019 was crafted with regular top-ups and showcases prominent notes of Williams pear, crushed flowers, white almonds and baked apple. Wet stones add another layer. Full-bodied and concentrated, the 2019 impresses with generous flavor concentration and walks off the stage with a nutty aftertaste.
