2023 Romagna Sangiovese Predappio

100% Sangiovese. Spontaneous fermentation with 5–10% whole bunch and the rest destemmed but not crushed. 40 to 60 days on the skins in concrete tank and aged in 50-hl French oak casks for six to seven months on the lees. SO 2 less than 40 mg. This is a blend of all three vineyards. Mid crimson. Lifted and quite pure red fruit on the nose and with a savoury undertow. Juicy fruit. Really expressive and full, yet fresh. A nice kick of rustic tannins on the finish. (WS)
