Based on 100% Chardonnay and aged 17 months in 80% French oak with 20% new, the 2023 Chardonnay Zio Tony Vineyard comes from 40-year-old Old Wente clones planted on Goldridge soils. Ripe melon, white peach, minty flowers, and hints of fresh pineapple all shine on the nose, and it's medium-bodied, with a concentrated, focused mouthfeel, integrated background oak, good acidity, and a great finish. This absolutely gorgeous stuff is drinking beautifully today yet will cruise for at least a decade. Drink 2025-2035.
