2016 Bérêche & Fils Ambonnay Grand Cru

The 2016 Extra-Brut Ambonnay Grand Cru offers up generous red fruit complicated by touches of spice, ginger and dried flowers. Creamy and layered, the 2016 shows plenty of Ambonnay richness and breadth, but is also dialed back by the style of the year. This is beautifully done. A bit compact for Ambonnay, but it is very nicely balanced just the same. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 2021.
